Meet Beth Oliver

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a PhD in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of South Carolina. For more than 25 years, I have taught and tutored thousands of high school and college students. Since 2020, I have tutored full-time.

I make challenging math clear by breaking it into manageable steps, explaining why each method works, and adjusting to each student's needs. My approach is patient, direct, and encouraging.

Parents are essential partners in a student's progress. Through an optional parent meeting each week, I share practical SAT, ACT, and PSAT guidance, answer questions, and keep families informed—creating a strong team in your child's corner.

I see myself as a coach: I teach the skills, offer honest feedback, celebrate progress, and keep each student moving toward an SAT, ACT, or PSAT goal score. I want every student to leave thinking: I understand this. I can do this. I am closer to my goal.
